چکیده
Background: Pesticide exposure might increase risk of lung cancer. The purpose this study was to investigate the association between historical use pesticides and cancer using a case-control design. Methods: This compared lifetime pesticide 233 cases, 447 healthy neighbours matched for gender, age (±5 years). Data on demographic, other related factors were collected face-to-face interview questionnaire. Associations types as well individual analysed logistic regression adjusted age, cigarette smoking, occupation, cooking fumes exposure, air pollution. Results: It found that positively associated with herbicides insecticides. Compared people in non-exposed groups, those Q3-Q4 days insecticides had an elevated cancer, odds ratio (OR) 2.20 (95% confidence interval (CI) 1.24-3.89), 3.99 CI 1.62-7.11) (p < 0.001). For pesticides, presenting significant dieldrin (OR = 2.56; 95% 1.36-4.81), chlorpyrifos 3.29; 95 % 1.93-5.61), carbofuran 2.10; 1.28-3.42). also found, first time, carbofuran, glyphosate, paraquat be significantly cancer. Conclusions: results reconfirmed In study, five e.g. dieldrin, chlorpyrifos, identified potential disease. More studies are still required confirm identify more could cause issues should receive attention since these chemicals used widely.
